94 tercel igniter

looking for anyone w/ experience  on a toyota tercel w/ igniter
problems.  any conection to a bad ecu?  I am getting a negative signal
out of ecu to igniter, but no signal from igniter to coil

the igniter module, or transistorized points, can be taken to some auto
parts stores where they will test it for free. try looking in the yellow
pages under auto parts stores and call around to see who will do it. auto
parts stores tend to have these testers to check modules before replacing
them under warranty. mine has a 5 year, 50,000 km replacement warranty on
it. I have some info on diagnosing and replacing mine on my website (see
below) under "Cars".
