Is possible to put a heater in a seat?  I have lovely custom leather seats
in a Camry, so I don't want to replace the seat, but just put a heater in
it.

thanks

That's a REALLY hard wish to get my brain wrapped around, sitting in
Texas in June :-) Now if you'd asked for ice-water circulation in the
seat, I'd be with you...

I don't know for sure, but I would think it would be difficult to
retrofit a heater to a seat that didn't have all the filler materials
made to tolerate the heat of the warming unit, plus you'd need a warming
unit that had built in temperature limiters.

If carmakers used real vat-dyed leather instead of various types of
bonded leather in their seats, the seats wouldn't feel cold in winter
anyway.

Yeah.  95F at work today and 97F at the house.

No... I don't want a heater now - in fact I'm having a/c problems.   Your
comment on leather is interesting.  My seats are custom leather and everyone
says how great they look and how "leathery" they feel.   So I guess I have
the real McCoy

Thanks

A quick google search found this:

Just plug it in and go.  40 bucks.

On 'Pimp My Ride' I have seen it done.  It is not simple.  YOu have to remove
the upholstery and then shape the foam to allow the heater to fit.
