Does anyone know if the transmission from a 1992 Buick Regal Custom will fit
into a 1993 Olds Cutlass Supreme?

If the motors the same it should. Make sure the trans. is the same too,
I'm thinking they all used overdrive units but , if one or the other
isn't, other components may need to be swapped.

As pater said, double check the engine compatibility. I cant remember when
they went
to the "E" version of transmission typical of those cars. "E" was a computer
controlled, or electronic, version as I remember it and they were not
compatible with earlier applications.

While on the topic of interchangeable transmissions, does the police
interceptor package for the Ford CV use the same transmission as the standard
CV (or maybe the same as the mustang)?

www.car-part.com , searchable used auto parts clear across North America,
is good for finding used parts, but it's also good for quickie interchange
lookups. Plug in your year, make and model and the part you're after and
hit "search"; the results include all interchangeable year-make-models,
per Hollander.
