When replacing flat with spare on left front on my 2002 S10 I took look at
brake pads/rotor. At 36k there is lots of pad left but I notice rotor wear
odd. On outside the outer 1 1/14 in. is normal wear but the inner 3/4 is not
wearing even though pad covers that area. You can feel that that the inner
section is higher (not worn). And on the inner side seems like the same non
wear on the centre 1/2 in. of the rotor area. Haven't checked right side yet
but have always felt the braking less agrressive than our Malibu car. Had
dealer check long time ago but told they were ok.
Any idea why the wear patterns I see?

The wear pattern you describe is not all that uncommon. You may not see
the wear in MM but those pads could be hardened and ineffective in
spots. You would have a better feel if you refreshed the brakes at this
point. The old idea that you should always go until brakes are worn to
the metal is not a good one.
