Thanks for the reply
OK, let me start again--i'm mechanicaly impaired. I know the fuel pump is
good as i took the line off at the filter. It's an electric fuel pump. I
turned on the key and it pumped gas. The fuel filter is new and fuel flows
through it. I'm not even sure what those things you said to check are. iIm
still stuck in the carborater days. It is fuel injected and has a thing with
an air breather that looks somewhat like a carb. I can poor gas in it and the
truck will run until the gas is burned. Other than that it gets no fuel
whatsover. It's like I said, if it was a carb, i'd be sure it had a stuck
float. Do these things have a float?? I know, i know, take it to a garage
etc,,. Problem is I'm a disabled vet and need to save money!

You probably have throttle-body-injection (TBI). No float. You have two
fuel injectors in the "thing with
an air breather that looks somewhat like a carb." They're controlled by a
computer under the passenger seat.
Sounds like they're not working - You probably need to take it in.

Thank you very much. I was hoping it would be something simple--doesn't look
like it.
thanks again
