I've got a 93 Mazda MX-3 that is idlings but not accelerating when i
press on the gas. If i SLOWLY ride the throttle it will come up in RPM
the and sound good. But if i do that and then punch it to wide open
throttle it comes down to 2500 rpm's starts making a misfire sound
rapidly. On the car itself i've already replaced the Volume Air Flow
Sensor, Idle air control Valve Ohmed out to be good, Throttle Position
Sensor Ohmed out good, the Two Coolant Temp Sensors have been replaced,
180-190 psi on compression test for each cylider, I get 38 PSI fuel
Pressure, New Fuel Filter, New Battery Cleaned and tightened terminals,
New High Tension Leads 8mm, New Spark Plugs, No Cracks on the air
intake tubing,Tried Different ECU's, New Distributor, cap, and rotor,
Timing was set via timing light and according to manufacturer manual.
Their troubleshooting guide doesn't cover this problem. =(
Right now i'm up to any suggestions and put myself at your mercy. I've
tried everything to the extent of my knowledge and now that's run out.

Is this in neutral or driving, if in neutral only the pcm may have a rev
limiter, as many efi cars do?

Just a left field guess here but...

it sounds like the catalytic converter is plugged.

Possibly O2 sensors. If the sensors are telling the computer to lean out
then you can get the car to a certain speed but as you punch it to wide
open throttle the rpm will drop and the car will decelerate. During idle
the O2 sensors are ignored. As mentioned already, is this in
neutral or driving?
