Hi guys,

I have a 1990 Mazda 626.

My heater fan has a mind of its own. When I turn it on sometimes it
works sometimes it doesn't.

Any advice?

Bad fan speed control or a loose connection somewhere that is making
intermittent contact.

Isn't there a thermostat or something like that - that switches it on
when it needs to go on? We have two relatively new cars that are
maintained everything four or five months and nothing is wrong with the
way the fan comes on intermittantly.
