This summer, we had the transmission fixed because it would not down shift
correctly. It was a value in the transmission, which this group identified,
thanks. However, these cold mornings now, we have noticed that when the
vehicle is cold, shifting from Park to Drive, will kill then engine. This
occurs, until it warms up. Now, in the good old days, I would checking the
choke. What do you look at now. The engine starts great, it is the engine
loading that give us a problem.
Ideas?? Thanks for the help,
Tom

Do the usual:
Check and/or replace plugs and wires.
Clean throttle body
Clean and check IAC, TPS, MAF, MAT, EGR, etc.
Look for vac leaks
