Try an injector cleaning.

next time you go to start try and un -plug one of the two injectors on
top of the throttle body. after it starts plug it back up---let me know
if this makes for an easier start and we'll work from
there...............

You did check fuel pressure before you replaced anything, right? What was
it? What is it now?
You did get a new strainer and filter, correct? Is it a fuel pressure
issue?

If the previous advice doesn't work, then check the rubber fuel line.
If it is cracked or has a pin-hole leak it allows air into the fuel
line. Then you must crank it for awhile to push the air out and build
up fuel line pressure.

Just a thought.

Allways look for the weakest point in any system, and then start
troubleshooting at that point.

Hop it helps,

Cy
