Are these things still being made right now? Over the years there were
several production runs, often by  the militia-goofball contingent.

Along with fuel additives, motor oil enhancers, fuel oscillators and
snake oil I'm sure you could find someone to sell one.  Or at least a
good facsimile.

This topic comes up about every two months so you might wish to Google
it for information. One of the big injector manufacturers probably
bought the patent so they did not have to compete with the Fish on
mileage and emissions.

This is the most ignorant of possible statements.

Patents were good for 17 yeare and were eligible for one extension, to
34 years total. 34 years ago Fish was already old and generally
dismissed tech.

The Fish wasn't terribly great at mileage-it never did any better
than a properly jetted and set up conventional carburetor. But it was
simple and would be a point of contention especially on show'n'shine
level old cars. Goobers eat details like that up.

the US GOV. relieved the inventor of the patents because of odorous
complaints from the public and the GOV. didnt want anything smelling fishy
besides themselves.........it wuz a good idea tho. no more $2 gas. just
stop by a bayou and dip a line! crawdads worked best if you needed high
octane!!.............
