Hey guys,
I want to know if it is normal for a battery to have the positive post
wet almost all the time
, even when the car has not been running that day. I dont see any
cracks on the battery
so i don't know were it's coming from.  Maybe from underneath the post?

The car has no trouble starting with it.  Could it still need to be
replaced?

Thanks!

Not normal, but common. It's acid seeping from around the failed seal at
the terminal / post. Can be caused by twisting on the terminal to remove
and stressing the seal instead of using a terminal puller. Won't really
affect the life of the battery but if you don't keep the post and
terminal regularly cleaned and neutralized, it will corrode the terminal
to death. Clean with baking soda and water mix and rinse. Those felt
anti corrosion washers can help a bit.

As you say it is common enough. I find it more toward the end of a
battery's life. I'd be checking the battery and replacing if over 3-4
years old regardless. The fact that it starts the car doesn't say much.
If it's low, it could be stressing the alternator and could give out
when you need it most.
