The correct way is to use a pressure manometer for check of fuel pressure.
In this case maybe a problem of ignition yet.

Ralf what problem in the ignition are you referring to and how do i go
about checking that problem i will get the manometer and check the fuel
pressure. What should the fuel pressure reading be? so that i know if
i am getting the proper pressure?. In advance i would like to thank you
for all of your help thus far.

Depending from type of pump they are using in this vehicular.
I would you recommend to read a shop manual for this car.
They have some procedures to check some devices like ignition, complete fuel
supply. etc. and to inform about parameters.
