94 chvy no 4wd

shift  lever into 4wd but no light comes on and it has no 4wd no noises
heard just happened with no indications of any possible problems. I checked
the fuses all ok bulb is ok but has no power to it is there any sensor on
the transfer case .I checked connections on tranny and trans case look ok
where do i start?

Any help would be nice thanks

if it's a fullsize and it's like my 90 1/2 ton, then you might have the
infamous "thermal actuator" and it might be toast or it's just taking a
long time to engage.  (whatta stupid design.  my S15 Jimmy had a vacuum
actuator that didn't do that, and the parts pricing for a new one is
insane.)

Do a quick google for thermal actuator chevy...
