92 chevy 350 x-cab jerky, rocking chair motion at 1200-1500

All help will be greatly appreciated....read a post by Mike D on 18
Mar, about chevy lumina with similar (to me) actions...could this be
my problem also?,or do any of you have any thoughts.  I thas good
acceleration and runs smooth at higher rpm's, but from 1200-1500 when
throttle is being floated, you'd think I was bouncing the brake pedal
HELP!

Torque converter slipping in and out of lockup?
