I was inspecting my exhaust manifold after I received P0420 and P1457
codes on my 98 Accord.  One of the nuts is missing and the bolt has
been sheared-off from one of the connecting points between my manifold
and engine.  All others seem to be in fine shape.  could this be the
cause of my problems, and how can the problem be resolved?

Thanks in advance, Zeke

If you have an exhaust leak maybe, but Honda has problems with the cats,
check with your dealer, many are being replaced.

I have 117K and the warranty expired at 80K I have been driving with my
emissions light on since 87K.  I have found only one person in
discussion groups that has gotten Honda to cover the cc replacement
price 100%.  I have emailed him and am waiting for a response.

Maybe at 87k you would have had a better chance for warranty help.

They denied me any help at 87K and thats when I decided to just drive
with the light on.  Now a piece has broken inside the converter and it
rattles badly when I drive.
