I have 1994 Plymouth Grand Caravan that someone tried to steal breaking
the ignition key system.  I would like to just put a toggle switch and
starter button and not have a key.  Any reason why this is a bad idea,
and any things to be careful of  or watch for before I try this?

I have done that on a few vehicles.  You need a high amp switch for the
starter and toggle or you can use micro switches and relays.

I would maybe use a magnetic hidden switch triggering a relay for the
'run' part of the key switch.  That way I could stick a magnet on the
dash in a certain spot and then hit the button for the starter.
