Now that I know that a blue title means that it is free and clear, why does
it have a blue title and not a regular title?

Why don't you call your local Department of Transportation, IOW, the
Dept of Motor Vehicles?

Wellll, a clear Texas title is not exactly completely blue-blue. Its more like a
light grey blue with a pinkish haze vertically down the middle. The edge is about
3/4" worth of fine scribed black lines. Over all I guess you could call it blue.
You had better make sure.

You should either check the information on the website or contact in
person the DMV for the state in which your car is registered.
