I've got about 5 gallons of two year old gas I syphoned out of my
boats inboard tank. Can I use this in my car without causing any
damage?

I was thinking of putting in about a gallon every time I filled up.
With the price of gas now a days, if it is safe I would rather use it
than give it to the recycle depot.

IMHO:  Considering this will only save you few bucks, why not run it
in something that's not so critical like a law mower.  I'm assuming
since you let an outboard sit for two years with gasoline in it, you
put a stablizer, but it's still possible you have a little water and
junk in from sitting in still for that long.

Becareful, all that syphoing and fuel handling could be an extream
fire hazard what is only no more than $12 bucks of gas.

later,

tom

Use it for weed killer.

Gasoline will kill more than the weeds, it will kill grass
as well. It makes for a relatively inexpensive vegetation killer
around walkways and driveways.

That's what I meant, use it in the gravel driveway.

YEah. just imagine when some throws out a light cigarette and see how much
it will kill.

Only in the movies.  Even in the movies they use alcohol,
not gasoline, to represent a gasoline fire in a car or a
building.  Gasoline vaporizes off too quickly.  If the
vapors are still present they will flash, not burn.

===============
use it in the lawn mower or throw it out....hell 10 bucks worth of OLD
gas is just not worth the chance that you coukld screww something
up... nor is it worth the time it would take you to pour a gallon into
the car five times...

Just my opinion...
