I have an el camino with the floor of the rear bed severly rusted out.
There is no easy way patch it short of replacing the entire floor.
Has any one out there changed the floor of the rear bed?  It looks
like it is all one piece and welded to the sides of the bed.  I think
there must have been some chemicals in there for it to have rusted so
bad.  Are there any other  solutions that are practical?  This is a
daily driver and runs OK otherwise.

Thanks,
Jim

Do a search on El Camino parts:

there are a few companies that have new, and a few that have used, as nice
as new.

I'll post a nice selection of links here tomorrow, providing I don't forget.

1976 although most of the parts are the same from '73 to '76.

Hi:

I had over a hundred Chevelle, El Camino and Monte Carlo links. They're
gone.

I sent some to someone, and will see if he still has some of them.

But, if you do a search from the MSN home page, there a few especially, that
have used West Coast, and Mid West used cars, that they can sell you the
used panels from too. Even if you need small braces that aren't available,
they drill out the spot welds and send them to you.
