I have an 1996 Oldmobile Aurora. New Ac system put in 1.5 year ago. It
quit blowing cold air all the time about 2 weeks ago. It would blow cold
then blow hot. That lasted about 2 days. Now it blows hot air all the
time. Bought gauge to check the 134A. The gauge reads about 75 when I
hear the compresor kick on. When the compressor kicks off (for only a
cople of seconds) the gauge drops below 25. I don't know if it needs 134A
or not...or what is wrong with it. I just got divorced, lost my job, and
raising 2 kids, so I can't afford to pay for repairs. I was attempting to
find the problem myself. ANY and ALL help or suggestions would be GREATLY
appreciated.

You've lost most of the charge of refrigerant in your system. You have a
leak that usually takes someone with experience and test equipment to find
and fix. Look for signs of oil on the lines and fittings of the A/C system,
as this usually indicates a leak. But some leaks won't show oil. You need
an electronic sniffer to find the leaks.
You can just keep pumping refrigerant into it to keep it running, but I
don't recommend that.
