96 ford ranger.

t's getting harder and harder for me to put it in first gear when I'm
sitting still.  All other gears work ok.  I have to giggle the stick and
then eventually it will go into 1st.  Does this mean that my clutch is going
bad?

Check the hydraulic clutch reservoir:

The clutch master cylinder might be low on fluid, which is most likely brake
fluid/ Also, the clutch hydraulic system may need to be bled.

I hope this helps?

If it was like my 90 ford, it should have an automaticly adjusting
clutch, do you notice and travel difference in the clutch's "softness"
or its travel?

If so, have a tech check it out, some gunk could have binded
something.

later,
