Hello !
I just purchased a 92 Linclon town car and the check
engine light is on, but the car runs just fine. The car
has 92000 miles on it.
Someone has advised me to unplug the battery and the main fuse
and reconnect it after a few minutes might rid the problem by
rebooting the computer and erasing the memory.
I cannot find the main fuse in this car, can someone
advise me if unplugging is going to work and the location of
the main fuse in my car and the color of it.
Your advise is greatly appericated.
Thank's
Max

Just disconnect the batt (-) cable for a few minutes - as in go for
coffee then reconnect.  Any residual current holding codes should
disapate by then.

What you really should do is take the car in to a shop and have the
stored code(s) decyphered and find out why there are any.   Just
because it runs fine does not mean there are no problems to address.

As an aside, a steady lite on means a problem has been detected and a
flashing lite on means a serious problem exits.
