Has anyone tried the new GE NIGHTHAWK Headlights? Are they brighter and
better than Sylvania SilverStar Headlights?

The Nighthawk puts more visible light on the road. The SilverStar
produces a whiter light thru the use of a light blue tint on the glass,
but doesn't put anymore useable light (probably less) on the road than
the 'base' Sylvania bulb - it's (SilverStar) just a marketing gimmick.

The real question is if the Nighthawk bulbs pull more wattage to be
brighter, like ricer bulbs off ebay, good at burning out wiring harnesses.

I bought a set of the GE NIGHTHAWK 9007 headlight bulbs on 4/11. They are
good, but still not as bright as I wanted. If I had to describe their
brightness, I would have to they are pretty close to Sylvania Cool Blues.
That being said, I exchanged the NIGHTHAWK bulbs for some Sylvania
SilverStar 9007 headlight bulbs on 4/21. MUCH BETTER! The light from the
SilverStars is perfectly white and I can see more at night. The light has
no blue tint even though the bulb's glass has a blue tint. I like my light
bright and white!

For gods sakes, not this AGAIN, Buford, you tried the Nighthawks an
didn't like them, you like the Silver Stars, great! They (th
nighthawks) are cheaper then the Silver Stars work about as good
just a little (very little imo) less "white" and probably will last
little longer then the Silver Stars. (my last bulbs were the Silve
Stars by the way
Sharon, like my user name says, f.ck Daniel Stern, he's not the be al
end all of the lighting world even though he thinks he is (an
unfortunatly so do someothers, such as you I bet
Im so sick and tired of people saying the SilverStars suck cause D.S
says so, especialy when they have never bothered to try them. S
again f.ck D.S
Sure in tests with certin light measuring equiptment the Silver Sta
bulbs don't come in on top, but that doesn't mean sh.t, the human ey
doesn't register or percieve light waves the same way a piece o
mechanical equiptment does.
If you don't like the Silver Star bulbs after actualyl trying them
get rid of them or when they burn out, don't buy them again, but fo
gods sakes people STOP POINTING OUT THE SAME TIRED D.S. BULLSHI
