I had a tire blowout on the highway.  The tire got all chopped up and
came off the rim.  I put on my spare and went back to get my blown
tire.  It's really shreaded badly and needs more than just a patch.  I
want to completely disassemble and rebuild the tire, giving it an
extra thick tread and replacing all the torn cords.
Can anyone tell me the best way to do a tire rebuild.  What is the
best method to disassemble the tire?  Do you think I need to replace
the steel belts too, or do they usually stay in one piece after a
blowout?  I have never rebuilt a tire before and need some help.

Thank You

Send me $50USD in cash concealed in an envelope, and I'll respond with
detailed instructions. Thank you.

WHen you put it back together, use sufficient lubricant so it won't
overheat on the highway. All the parts are metric now-a-days, you will
need metric tire building tools. I'd also recommend increasing the
bead size while you have it apart.
