help, My 2001 van, is beginning to chug and buck..doesn’t do it all
the time. will run fine and then chug and trys to stall. then it will
run fine again. whats the problem? could it just be the fuel filter?
or the fuel pump? It doesn’t happen when I am stopped just when i am
driving, egr valve replaced about one month ago.

Does it happen when you're driving along at a steady speed, or just when
accelerating?  Does it happen at certain speeds or random speeds?  Any other
info would be helpful.

Have you changed the fuel filter(s) lately if ever?  It does sound like a
fuel problem, so far.

Hello,

I had a similar problem and it turned out to be an HT lead from the
distributor breaking down and shorting to the bodywork.
On tickover all was fine.
As I revved up, the engine twisted slightly on the mounts and the lead
shorted.
This caused the engine to cough, so it "Untwisted", and the short
disappeared.
Rev up again, and it happened again.

Worth a look
