mazda rx7 skip at 4500 rpms

my friend has a mazda rx7  and hes trying to get me to buy it the car
is in great shape but the only thing is at 4500 rpms it has a skip in
the engine does any one know what it could be. I’m not real positive
on the year or any thing else. I was wondering is this something that
normaly happens in the rx7’s  fill me in

If I were to guess I would say the ignition system is at fault, it ma
not be advancing after a certain point. Check or replace th
distributer
