theres a miss and i cant figure why? ive replaced the spark plugs and
the spark wires, its passed the compression test, i had a leak in my
headers and the mechanic told me that was the cause replaced them with
a performance aftermarket header and i still have the same problem ive
just learned that its a miss its in the garage right now and has been
all week and they dont know what it could be , if you could help any

I'd next take a look at air leaks on the inlet side of things. Could be a
leaky gasket between carb and intake manifold, or intake manifold gasket
leak. Could be a leaky vacuum system, or improperly connected hoses. If
someone has altered the emissions system in the past, knowingly or
otherwise, this can cause a miss. Could be a bad EGR valve.
When do you notice the miss, just at idle or on heavy acceleration or when
cruising?

Hi,
Try changing the Distributor cap, it could be earthing out.
Cheers
