can you tell me how to install a serpentine belt on a 96' buick park avenue
or show me a diagram?
BIG-EV - 08 Aug 2005 22:53 GMT
 hi
i have a 97 lesabre. i cannot draw a picture. i can however give you some
clues as to what i had to do to change mine. i had to loosen the engine
mount on the passenger side of the car. i then had to jack up the engine
under the oil pan with a peice of  wood on the pan. i then found a bolt with
a spacer on it that goes in into the lower right hnad sie of the block
underneath on the passenger side. it is really a stud type bolt.  when you
jace the engine up the weight on this bolt is eased . remove thai bolt and
spacer. ot is just enough room to turn the belt sideways and in where you
can loop around the crank and a/c pulleys. i had to do a mental to complete
the job. i have the 3.8 lite v-6 in my 1997. you will have to search around
to configure your ideas from what i have written. good luck
