i have a 1994 Geo. i had two rear tires that were pretty worn, and the two
front tires are about 1/2 worn. ... today i went to a local tire shop and
pointed out to the serviceman that the two rear tires needed replacing, he
agreed. he also agreed that the front two were fine.
when i went to pick it up, i didn't pay attention to what they did. when i
got home, i noticed that they put the new tires on the back. shouldn't they
have rotated the 1/2 worn tires that were in the front to the back and put
the new one's on the front? or am i wrong?

Well if you figure the rears had twice the wear rate, then by the time
these are done, the front's also should be done in.

Greetings,
It is customary to ask the customer what he/she wants in advance. They
didn't ask and you didn't specify so all bets are off. If you come
back to them now they may want a tire rotation fee.

i understand that, i'm not going to go back and make a deal out of it, i'm
just wondering , if as a professional, they should have suggested that the
new one's go in front?
