wondering if anyone knows about the oil guage
reading weird when idleing at a stop. While in drive. never seen anything
like it before, the needle jumps arounds and skips back and forth, then
when rolling it stays where it should.

You don't say what year, what engine, what transmission, so how can we
guess what is wrong?
Were this my van I'd replace the sender first.

sorry, thought all those vans would be similar.
1989 vantura 355 engine. 3/4 ton.

I'll continue with my suggestion then: either replace the sender, or
install a mechanical gauge for testing.

You are describing what could be a loose wire on the oil pressure
sender. I would think it just needs to be pushed on tighter.
