I was at Kragen's buying a fuel filter & spark plugs (don't
know if I need a fuel injector too, for $109 for a 1988 300ZX), and I
asked the cashier how often I need to change the fuel filter.
He said it depends. Whatever you do, don't put cheap gas in your car.
ARCO will gum up your car. I said even if you have a gutless 4
cylinder car? He said yeah.
I told him I got 4 years out of it before it started hesitating.
Putting that special stuff in my gas tank to clear out the injectors
didn't do a thing for it.
So how critical is putting cheap gas in your tank? Is that a big deal
at all?

My GM cars do not like Arco. Likes Texaco and Chevron. Gets better mileage
too. My neighbor uses Arco in his jap car with no problems.
