Years ago I used an additive called Microlon, it claims to reduce
friction on the metal surfaces, the car I had at the time was a Ford
Topaz 2.3 FI I sold that one with LOTS of Kms 203,000, lot of Highway
mileage you know... and the guy who bought it told me that after a
mechanical evaluation on the engine he was surprised on the high
compression figures it had. *I thought it was because of the very
regular oil changes and the additive*
The question is, does anyone knows for sure if such additive
effectively reduces wear on the engine, I was planning to put it in a
new car we have now.
