I have bought several batteries for my '92 Buick Le Sabre and still don't
know why after a few months I need to power the battery every morning.
Please help!

Get a new alternator or regulator (or both).

It's likely that you have bad connections somewhere, an under
performing alternator/regulator, of something causing a parasitic
drain on the battery when the ignition is off. Do you have an alarm
system or an aftermarket stereo?

Interesting. I replaced the alternator before purchasing the last battery.
I don't have an alarm system and I believe that the stereo is the original
one.
What do you mean by parasitic drain?

either you have a drain somewhere or your alternator isnt working
well. you can try disconnecting the battery when not in use and see if
the problem continues. if it does then its your alternator, if not
something is staying on and draining your battery.

There are many auto parts stores, (or maybe the store that sold you
the battery), that test your charging system completely free.
One other thing, where did you buy the battery? I was buying Walmart
batteries, they lasted one year and died. They had a 2 year warranty
so I kept getting new batteries from them but they still all died
within one year. I had my charging system tested. It was fine, the
guy told me that Walmart batteries are total crap. I finally sold
that car and the battery went with it. Even though replacement was
free, I was real tired of getting stranded once a year, usually on a
very cold night in winter because it was time to go to Walmart for a
replacement. I was getting their middle grade - mid priced ones. I
was told their top dollar ones are better, but in all honesty, I will
never buy another Walmart battery no matter what.

On GM vehicles, I have seen the ground strap from the bell housing up to
the body go rotten. When this happens the body steals grounds for a
while before it burns them out, specifically the small black one from
the battery to the fender will usually start to melt. The brake pedal
and blinkers will usually pulse the voltmeter when this happens too.
The other issue is the battery won't get a full charge when this is
going on so if you let it sit overnight it 'maybe' has enough for a
start, maybe not, but once going will usually keep up for the day.
