is there's a such thing as transmission adjustment?

i had tooking my 2002 camry to a repair shop and i was told that i need a
adjustment on bands. i never heard of that. can anyone give me some info
on that. thank you

Yep, they need to tighten the rubber bands.  Or you can go to any
office supply store and buy a bag of new ones :)

Seriously, YES, there is such a thing.  Its a common adjustment.
However, it's not needed often, and I'd get a second opinion,
especially if it shifts ok.
