When I drive my truck for awhile and turn off the engine sometimes it will
not start right back up. If I let it sit for about 20 min it will start.
When it will not start the motor drags like the battery is almost dead.
Could it be the voltage regulator? Can anyone help me.

That can be caused from heat.  Have you put new headers on recently or
is there a leak blowing exhaust at the starter?

Other than that, old worn out brushes can act like that.  Next time it
happens, give the starter a bang and see if it speeds up.  If so,
brushes for sure.
