Hello,
here's the problem: my explorer starts and warms up with the
temperature reaching about 100/110 degrees ( the needle settles a
little above the cold zone, but less than a quarter on the gauge), but
as soon as accelerate, the temperature goes down in the cold zone. I
replaced the temp sender the thermostat and the radiator cap. Any idea
of what is wrong?
Thanks for any suggestion.

Are you determining the temperature based solely on the position of the
factory gauge? If so, that is your first mistake. The gaguges are not
calibrated and are not particularly accurate. One possibility is that
the voltage feeding the gauges circuit is no longer correct. You should
use a voltmeter to check the voltage feeding the temperature snesor. I
am not sure of the of the correct value for your Explorer (what year is
it?). Chances are it is either 12V or 5V.
You should have a profiessional with an infared thermometer check you
actual system temeprature.
