Thought maybe somebody saw a similar problem..
The driver side headlight does not work (Passenger side is fine), The
brights do not work either.Checked all fuses, they are ok.. Tried 2 new
bulbs.. When I press forward on the stem (head light controls) to put on
the Brights, the Blue Indicator light does not come on on the dash panel
(The brights do come on on the Passenger side headlight though).
With the headlamps on, no brights, I checked the voltages and the 2 side
connections to the headlamp bulb are both at 12V. The center Connection
(TOP) has no voltage.
I think the issue has something to do with both sides being at 12V,
possibly cause the Brights switch is left on?
Any suggestions are appreciated..
TIA...

Maybe bad ground? With a test lite, apply power to to that center
connection to see if it in fact goes to ground. No ground, then
connect the plug to the lamp and with headlamps on, jump a wire from
the center connection to the neg batt cable. If the lites go on, you
have a ground connection to repair.

Thanks Pete.
I checked the ground with power off and there is a ground. However, With
Power on and My manually wiring a ground (jumpering) to the Center post,
the light will then come on. Incidentally, the brights will still not
work. Must be a bad "Bright switch" for that light? I think the switch
is in the steering column. If There is a relay somewhere, Id rather go
after that 1st then fooling with the steering column.
Thanks for the advice...

FYI... It was a Bad ground, under the battery, it leaked fluid and
corroded the wiring and all it took me to find this out was to pay the
dealer $294 ................

It's too bad that you actually paid that kind of money for such a
simple problem. Next time, spend a bit more time to look for the
problem before you give in. I know it can be frustrating.
Spread the word - most things that don't work quite right can be
traced to a poor ground.
