I changes the battery on my '98 Forester and now the 4ways come on.  They
blink
rather slowly about 8 or so times and then stop  for 10 or 20 seconds the
blink again.  It doesn't stop.  My dash indicators do not come on I can hear
a click when they blink.  It happens when running and not running, key in
the ignition or no key, so I having to disconnect the battery every time I
stop.  Any help?  TIA

Sounds like you have a remote starter installed that needs programming.
