96 Plymouth Voyager Radiator Relay Question

Hi, new to group but I am definitly at my last options before taking this
thing to a dealer for what should be simple fix. The problem is the radiator
fan stays on when the engine is shut off. There was a tech bulletin that
said the relay could fail in the open position causing the fan to stay
running. I have eliminated everything like clogged radiator, bad fuse etc. I
am 99% sure its the relay switch. The problem is I cannot find the relay. So
my question is "Does anyone here know where the relay switch is coming off
the radiator on a Plymouth Grand Voyager (96)"?. I would think it might be
in the same place as the Grand Caravan because they are basically the same
van. This vehicle has the 3.3 litre. Thanks in advance. J

Under the hood, driver side, forward part of the shock tower are 3 (or
4) relays.  Forward of  the battery below the ECU is another relay (or
2) if you have AC.    Disconnect each relay until you find the one
that stops the fan.

Does that fan NEVER shut off?

If the engine is above normal-high running temperature when you shut it
off, then it's normal for the fan to stay on for a while after the engine
is shut off. If your radiator sensor is going, then the fan will be running
more often than necessary, and longer, but you should also be seeing the
temperature gauge being above normal high driving temperature.

It never shut off. I decided it was caused by a bad relay as there was a
tech bulletin that said on the 96-97's the relay would fail in the open
position causing this problem. Then the Chrysler Tech (By the way, thanks to
you) told me there was also a recall for the problem. Right after he told me
where it was, I looked and there it was. Pulled the battery, removed the air
filter and replaced the relay. Problem fixed. Thanks to all.
