4wd indicator light

recently I noticed that my 4wd indicator light does not work but the
4wd does i checked and the front end locks up normally but no lights. i
also noticed that when i turn the key on all the dash lights come on
except 4wd. i checked the bulbs and they are good. i am stumped. any
help and/or suggestions appreciated.
1999 dodge dakota 5.2L with np231 t-case with shifter on the floor.

1.    you missed a bulb or have a fuse that's bad (bulbs don't have
    to look burned to be NG.    )
2.    you have a broken wire from the bulb to the switch
3.     you have a bad switch

I would remove the bulb and with a test lite, prod the wires for
power. Then prod the connections at the switch
