OOOOH, nice try. Unlike safeties for commercial vehicles which are
valid anywhere in North America, Provincial safeties are valid only in
the Province that issued the safety. An Ontario (or any other
Province) safety is only good with Ontario plates on the car. Want
Alberta or anywhere else's plates on the car, you will need a new
safety to get the new plate.
I sent my kid in Calgary a car with fresh Manitoba safety. Wasted my
money getting it. It needed to be resafetied in Alberta.
When all the provinces get it together to recognize a federal safety
program then that will be a whole nother story.

thanx... F****** government.. Oh well... Seeing CDN tire safetied it..
maybe the one in alberta should honor the safety.. seeing how the "nation
wide warranty or service anywhere in Canada line"... they safetied it so
they should redo it.. worth a shot :)

Nope, the laws are different in each province and things that you can
get away with in Ontario like tinted windows are illegal in Alberta.
Ontario also only requires one rear view mirror, unlike most places that
need 2.
My brother in law had a nice new Volvo with factory tint that was fine
in Ontario. When he moved to Alberta he was told to replace 'all' the
glass or park it. He sent it back to Ontario for sale.
