I've got a Golf VR6, which has been on the road for about 2 months.

The problem I've got is when I turn the ignition on (not yet starting  the
engine) the lights will come on (as normall), but when I start the engine,
the lights go dim insteadof going off complete.

Does anyone have a clue as to what theproblem is?

Cheers.

Power feedback through the lites (dash lites) usually asociated with a
bad ground .   Start looking at the daytime running lite circuit.

Sorry I've realised I wasn't specific, I meant the Lights as in the
dashboard lights where dim, not the headlight etc.. lights.  So still go the
problem.
