My cars exhast is dying. I have been quoted $1.200.00 Canadian to
replace the exhaust on my 1987 Chev Caprice Classic Broughm LS. I
converted the car to propane 10 years ago and had the engine rebuilt at
that time. The body is good, no rust, the interiour of the car is
showing its age(leather), the drive train is great. It is a great solid
car!
MY QUESTION:
I know of an 1991 Isuzu Trooper II, 4 cyl, auto, that is in good shape,
could get it for $1,500 Canadian.
Should I just go buy the Isuzu and take my 87 to the auction and see
what they can get or what?
I am serious, I know about business, law, etc, but I am not a mechanic
or know anything about cars, I cannot even change the oil in my car, or
care how to learn about it.
Any input will be appreciated.
Thanks.

I'd do some more shopping around, I paid about $400 USD to have a
complete custom exhaust put in my Studebaker pickup, $1,200 sounds WAY
out of line.
