Falken Tires, Anybody use them? Heard of them? Are they safe? Is tread life
as bad as what I have read about?
Thanks in advance

My daughter has them on her Mirage
Seem to be safe enough. Great wet weather traction.
Tread seems to be wearing a bit fast.
I guess that is the trade for the traction.

Thanks Nicky, I have a Dodge Dakota with tires about worn out. Got A Falken
spare. Tire store suggested the tread wears a little faster than normal due
to the softer material. Thinking of buying the other 3 Falkens and using my
best Goodyear as the spare. How many miles do you have on those tires that
are showing wear?
Thanks
Norm

I'm not sure about the mileage. The car isn't here for me to check as
she no longer lives at home. My guess would be about 12K on the tires.
The wear is not severe but is noticeable. My estimate would be for
about 30 to 40 K for total tread life based on what I've observed so
far. My daughter is pleased with them. The grip on wet pavement,
especially around corners, is much improved over the OEM tires and she
believes the tradeoff to be worth it, especially in such a light car
as the Mirage.

Nicky, What you have said is right on from what I have heard from other
places. I Might give them a shot.
Thanks Again!
