1996 buick camshaft  sensor

i had to swap engines on my 96 buick century and the new motor doesn't have
the hole for the camshaft sensor is there a way to bypass it

My best guess is that it wont run without it.
I would install the timing gear and cover off the old engine... just
my humble opinion.

the sensor goes into the block not the timing cover
