I have an 01 Plymouth Neon.  The engine light stays on, but the car seems
to be running fine.  Any ideas as to why?

Go to a FLAPS (Friendly Local Auto Parts Store) and have them check the
code with their code reader, they should do it for free.  That will give
you an idea what is going on.

You might also check your gas cap, sometimes if you leave the cap off it
will trigger the light.

Then... disconnect the battery for a few minutes to reset the
computer... although your radio will lose it's settings too.
