Windshield Wipers are Haunted

Buick Riviera 1998 Windshield Wipers only operate when in WASHER mode. The
Wipers do not operate in  WIPER mode.Please help solve the mystery

Sounds like a bad wiper switch.

Those wipers are micro processor controlled.
It could be a switch but it sounds more expensive.....

That's a big reason I like simple vehicles like my Cherokee and Champ.
