I r&r the alternator on my 2000 Plymouth Grand Voyager. After
reinstalling the intake manifold and turning on the van, the rpms are
2500 to 3000 rpm. depressing the pedal brings rpms to 3500 & they
stay there. What did I miss? I do notice that the left side cable on
the throttle linkage ( there are two side by side, the drivers side
one) has no tension on it, I do not remember if it was like this
before or not. It sounds like a vacuum issue to me but everything is
connected. Are there one or two I might have crossed that would do
this? Might it be a gasket issue with the air intake plenum?

Sounds like a big air leak.
Have you had any luck yet?
