mazda bongo friendee 2.5 td 1996 overheating

could someone shed some kight on why my bongo is overheating.
recently the water hose to the top of the engine split, i replaced it
. but since then it overheats and the interior heater doesn’t work.
when it finally boils the heater then works and the temp of engine
goes back to normal.  i have also replaced the thermostat but still
overheats!
please help

Sounds like you may have an air bubble in the cooling system. Check
the manual for the proper procedure for re-filling coolant...it may be
strange and unique.
