I came across some 1940s plans for a cheap bandsaw:

http://www.vintageprojects.com/power-tools/pipe-bandsaw.html

these plans are mostly inexpensive pipe fittings but they do require
two of what are described as the front wheels/hubs of a junked Model T
Ford. But from what I see in the pictures, I don't think they are
Model T wheels but are from a later model, but hey I could be wrong.
Either way, since the wheels of those old cars are probably hard to
find, does anyone know of a more modern wheel that *looks like* the
Model T wheel but is easier to find and cheap(er)?

The 'T parts needed are not wheels, but spindles and hubs.  They form
axles and bearings for the the bandsaw's fabricated wooden wheels.  At
present, you could probably use hubs & spindles from any recent small
"economy" car.  I'd recommend one with front disc brakes so you can
use the discs directly, in a way very similar to the Model T hubs.

Many thanks; this should make life a little easier.  :-)
